Possible Causes
Ramp button on unit cap is
damaged.
Main circuit board malfunction.
Power switch is not connected to
main circuit board.
Main circuit board malfunction.
The unit is out of the remote
control range (15 ft.), or the unit is
positioned so that the remote
control sensor openings are
blocked.
Remote control is damaged or the
battery needs replacing.
Main circuit board malfunction.
Ramp button part of unit cap is
interfering with the optical switch.
Troubleshooting
Corrective Action
Replace the unit cap if the ramp
function works when the optical
switch on the circuit board is
interrupted with a screwdriver or
piece of paper. If the ramp
function is operable, install a new
unit cap.
Replace the main circuit board.
Remove the unit cover and verify
that the unit power switch is
connected to the main circuit
board.
Replace the main circuit board.
Move the unit within the remote
control range and position the
unit so that the sensor openings
(right side on the front of unit or
left side on the back of the unit)
are facing the remote control.
When functioning properly a
green light appears inside the end
of the remote control. If the light
does not appear when the buttons
are pressed, replace the battery in
the remote control (refer to
Section 3 for instructions). If the
remote control still does not
function, replace the remote
control.
Replace the main circuit board.
Remove the unit cap and check
that the ramp function initiates
when the optical switch on the
circuit board is interrupted. Use a
screwdriver or piece of paper to
interrupt the switch. The unit
must ramp only once for each
interruption. If the ramp function
is operable, discard unit cap, and
install a new unit cap.
