7.1 Local User Interface (LUI)

Access control

The user can view all parameters in the LUI menu but the parameters are protected against
changes with access level control. The user gains access when entering navigation view by
selecting one of following access levels.
● Read Only
● User
● Expert
PIN codes can be changed in menu 5 "Security".
The exact structure of the operating menu is explained in the "LUI menu structure"
(Page 189).

Lost PIN code
If the PIN code is lost, provide Siemens customer support with transmitter serial number (see
nameplate) and PUK number (menu item 5.1.4). Siemens customer support will provide a
code to be entered in "Reset PINs" (menu item 5.1.3).

Operation view

The operation view can be displayed in up to six user-configured views. Switch manually

The view types including the number of process values shown in the operation view are
configured in menu item 2.8 (Page 189). Each view can be configured to show:
● Six Values
● Three Values
● One Value and Bargraph

Allows no configuration. The user is only able to view the parameter values. No PIN code
required.
Allows configuration and service of all parameters except calibration parameters. Default
PIN code is 2457.
Allows configuration and service of all parameters including flow and density calibration
parameters. Default PIN code is 2834.
