GPIB

The GPIB Address

Before you can operate the LDX-32420 instrument remotely, you need to know its
GPIB address. The talk and listen addresses on the LDX-32420 current source
are identical. Every device on the GPIB bus must have a unique address.
The GPIB address is read by pressing the (GPIB) LOCAL push button; the
address will be displayed on the LED display in the format "Adr XX". The default
address from the factory is Address 1. The GPIB address can be changed via the
front panel as described in the next section.

Changing the GPIB Address

If it is necessary to change the address, press and hold in the (PARAMETER)
SET switch while displaying the GPIB address. Turn the ADJUST knob until the
desired address value is displayed, then release the SET switch. The new GPIB
address will then be stored in non-volatile memory. The allowable address range
is 0 - 30 for primary GPIB addressing. Extended GPIB addressing is not
implemented on the LDX-32420 at this time.
