Instrument operation is possible on the LDX-32420 through an IEEE488/GPIB or
USB computer interface. All instrument control and functions are programmable
for test sequence, measurements and data handling in automated test systems.
Synchronization with other measurement or control instruments is possible with
an output trigger function whenever the output current changes. Multiple test
configurations can be stored and retrieved through Save and Recall functions
from the front panel or through the computer interfaces.

Initial Inspection

When you receive your LDX-32420, verify that the following items were shipped
with the instrument:
• LDX-32420 Series Instruction Manual
• Power Cord
• Shipping Kit
Verify the line voltage indicated on the rear panel is correct for your facility. Check
for damage from shipping.

Grounding Requirements

The LDX-32420 High Power Precision Current Source comes with a three
conductor AC power cable. The power cable must either be plugged into an
approved three-contact electrical outlet or used with a three-contact or two-
contact adapter with the grounding wire connected to an electrical ground (safety
ground). The LDX-32420's power jack and supplied power cable meet IEC safety
standards.

AC Line Power Requirements

You can operate the LDX-32420 instrument from a single phase power source
delivering nominal line voltages of 100 - 120 VAC and 230VAC (all values RMS),
at 50/60 Hz. The line power voltage can vary ±10% but cannot exceed 250 VAC.
The instrument's operational voltage is factory configurable and need not be
changed before operating the instrument.
