The complete description of the MicroGateway in stal la tion
and operation is contained in YORK form 450.20-NOM1.
The MicroGateway is an optional printed circuit board
that pro vides an interface between the OptiView Con trol
Center and YORK ISN (Integrated Systems Net work) or
other selected networks. It can be mounted on the upper
cor ner of the left wall of the OptiView Con trol Center
or in its own enclosure in a remote lo ca tion.
If installed in the OptiView Con trol Center, the
MicroGateway is powered by +12VDC from the
Microboard.
The MicroGateway communicates with the Microboard
COM 4B com mu ni ca tions port via an RS-232 in ter face.
As shown in Figure 11, Microboard Pro gram Jumper JP
27 must be placed on pins 2 and 3 to allow data to be
re ceived from the MicroGateway.
If the remote device that is con nect ed to the MicroGate-
way is going to provide remote Start/Stop sig nals, re-

mode.
In operation, the Microboard provides chiller pres sures,
tem per a tures and status to the MicroGateway in re sponse
to requests from the MicroGateway. Microboard status
LEDs illuminate when the Microboard trans mits and
receives data on COM 4B. Green LED CR13 (RX4)
illuminates when data is being received from the Micro-
Gateway. Red LED CR12 (TX4) illuminates when data
is being transmitted to the MicroGateway. Similar LEDs
on the MicroGateway annunciate data transfer to/from
the Microboard (refer to 450.20-NOM1).
If there is a communications problem between the
Microboard and MicroGateway, use the LEDs de scribed
above to analyze the problem. The COM 4B LoopBack
test can be used to verify operation of the Microboard
COM 4B communications port. Refer to Diagnostics
and Troubleshooting section of this book.
