Dis plays stocked for Ser vice replacement are a result of
that same agree ment. There fore, the Display received for
ser vice re place ment may be by a different man u fac tur er
than the one in the OptiView Con trol Center. Since each
Dis play manufacturer re quires a specifi c Display In-
terface Board, Backlight Inverter Board and Inverter
Ribbon Cable, re place ment Displays are ordered and
supplied as a Dis play Re place ment Kit (YORK Part
Number 331-01771-000) to as sure com po nent com pat i -
bil i ty. The items sup plied in the kit are com pat i ble with
the supplied Dis play. The kit con sists of the following
items mounted on a Dis play mount ing plate:
Display Replacement Kit 331-01771-000:
1. Liquid Crystal Display with Lamp
2. Appropriate Display Interface Board for item 1
3. Appropriate Backlight Inverter Board for item 1
4. Appropriate ribbon cable (Backlight In vert er Board
to Microboard) for item 1
5. Ribbon cable (Display Interface Board to
Microboard)
6. All mounting hardware
7. Installation instructions. A label at tached to the Dis-
play mounting plate lists the YORK part num bers
of the Display supporting components mount ed
on the Display mounting plate and the required
Microboard Program Jumper (JP2 through 8) con-
fi g u ra tions. Microboard Pro gram Jumpers JP2-
JP8 will have to be confi gured ap pro pri ate ly for
the re place ment display.
Display Handling:
1. The display is made of glass. It could break if
dropped.
2. The display front surface is easily scratched. If
soiled, wipe with a dry cotton cloth. Use no water
or chemicals.
3. The display is static sensitive. Electrostatic dis-
charg es may damage the display.
4. A laminated fi lm is adhered to the display front
glass surface to prevent it from being scratched.
Peel off very slow ly to prevent static dam age.
Always remove con trol power from the
OptiView control center before con-
nect ing or dis con nect ing wires to the
dis play. Con nect ing or dis con nect ing
wires to the dis play with pow er ap plied
will dam age the dis play!!!
YORK INTERNATIONAL
BACKLIGHT LAMP REPLACEMENT:
SHARP LQ10D367 Display: (Refer to Fig. 29)
Removal:
The Lamp slides into the Display from left to right and
is secured with a lock ing tab.
1. Remove Control Power from the OptiView Con trol
Cen ter.
2. Remove protective cover from rear of Display.
3. Disconnect Lamp AC power connector from Back-
light Inverter Board.
4. Using fi ngernail or thin fl at blade screwdriver, bend
the locking tab outward slightly to clear the Lamp
housing protrusion.
5. Grasp Lamp AC power connector and gently pull
until Lamp housing clears locking tab.
6. Grasp Lamp housing and pull until Lamp hous ing
is completely removed from the Display.
Installation:
1. Slide new Lamp into Display from left to right until
Lamp housing protrusion locks into Display lock ing
tab.
2. Connect Lamp AC power connector to Back light
Inverter Board.
3. Apply Control Power to OptiView Control Cen ter.
SHARP LQ10D421 Display (refer to Fig. 30)
Removal:
Both the top and bottom lamps slide into the Dis play
from left to right and are secured with lock ing tabs.
1. Remove Control power from the OptiView Con trol
Cen ter.
2. Remove protective cover from rear of display.
3. Disconnect lamp AC power connector from de-
fec tive lamp.
4. Using a thin fl at blade screwdriver, press in on the
small black locking tab.
5. Grasp Lamp AC power connector and gently pull
until Lamp clears locking tab.
6. Grasp Lamp housing and pull until Lamp hous ing
is completely removed from the display.
Installation:
Follow instructions above for SHARP 367 Display.
