Zero tcpHandle
A TCP handle is a number the identifies the "handle" of
an open TCP network connection, in this case the
network connection to Eagle.io. If the handle is zero,
this indicates a failure to successfully open a
connection which may be the result of poor
communications. Occasional missed handles such as
shown here are not a cause for concern. Routine
missed handles indicate poor communications.
High CellUsage
Cell Usage today identifies periods of abnormal
communications. A consistent sawtooth trend
indicates that the same amount of data is used each
day. If the daily usage is above 2MB and a SIM with a
limited plan is used, then communications may
abruptly stop when the plan cap is reached. If a large
program has been sent over the cellular link (such as
an operating system file), or remote support has been
active for a long time, then the station may need a
higher data plan cap. Pre-paid SIM cards commonly
run out of credit causing an abrupt stop. Refer to the
service provider for managing the plan.
Resetting Program Counter
The Ai1 counts the number of cycles since last power-
up which should gradually increase over time. If
ProgramCounter is resetting (shown by a saw-tooth
like chart) then the cause of the reset needs to be
investigated. If one or two resets of the Program
Counter are shown, this may be the result of a new
program being sent to the Ai1
Changed GPS Location
Looking at the GPS location may indicate if a station
has been stolen or drifting free of the mooring for
moored stations. It is not possible to see the
movement on the map, only the current location,
however it is possible to look at the chart view of the
Latitude and Longitude to look for changes.
If the GPS location
indicates somewhere
west of Africa, this is
0,0 and indicates a
failed read of the GPS.
