5.3 Field Calibration

The Inspector 5000 requires periodic field calibration. The
interval depends on the environment where the bar code
verifier is used.

Inspector 5000 calibration interval

A clean room may be able to go two weeks between
calibrations while a dusty, high temperature, high humidity
environment may require daily calibration. Once per week
is appropriate for most facilities.
The Setup screen has a parameter "Days between
calibration" that is used to designate the required
calibration interval (default is 7).
The date of the last field calibration (and last factory re-
certification) can be viewed from the Status screen (press
and hold Print and then Power arrow), when expired the
fields will be highlighted in red.
