Notes on cleaning and care
Exterior lighting Clean the lenses with a wet sponge and mild cleaning agent,
e.g. car shampoo.
Sensors
Clean the sensors in the front and rear bumper and in the
radiator grille with a soft cloth and car shampoo.
Side running boards Use water and acid-free cleaning agents.
Reversing camera
Use clean water and a soft cloth to clean the camera lens. Do not use a high-pressure cleaner.

and 360° Camera
Tailpipes
Clean with cleaning agents recommended by Mercedes-Benz,
particularly in the winter and after washing the vehicle.
Trailer hitch Remove traces of rust on the ball, e.g. with a wire brush.

Remove dirt with a lint-free cloth.

After cleaning, oil or grease the ball head lightly.

Avoiding vehicle damage
Only use cleaning agents or cleaning cloths that are suitable
for plastic lenses.
When using a high-pressure cleaner, maintain a minimum dis‐
tance of 30 cm.
Do not clean the aluminium trim insert of the running board
with alkaline or acidic cleaning agents such as wheel clean‐
ers. Do not use acidic wheel cleaners to remove brake dust.
The aluminium trim inserts could otherwise be damaged.
Do not use acidic cleaning agents.
Do not clean the ball neck with a high-pressure cleaner or sol‐
vent.
