Automated Manual Transaxle (AMT) Electro-Mechanical Control Unit

Removal & Installation
WARNING!
Before removing the automated manual transaxle electro-mechanical control unit, the internal system pressure
must be relieved to 0 bar with the X-431 scan tool.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the following electrical connectors:
Clutch Solenoid Valve
Shift Gear Solenoid Valve
Selector Gear Solenoid Valve
Gear Position Sensor
Shift Position Sensor
Hydraulic Pressure Sensor
Clutch Position Sensor
Crankshaft Position Sensor
3. Loosen the transaxle control shaft cover retaining
bolt (1) and rotate the cover.
4. Rotate the shaft a quarter turns by using a screwdriver.
