Description
The clutch is a diaphragm-spring clutch of a dry single disc type. It consists of a clutch pedal (1), clutch cable (2),
clutch cable bracket (3), and release shaft (4). It is controlled by the clutch cable directly.
Operation
The clutch system is responsible for engaging and disengaging the clutch. Depressing the clutch pedal causes the
release to advance and push on the tips of the tapering fingers of the diaphragm spring. When this happens, the
diaphragm spring pulls the pressure plate away from the flywheel, there by interrupting the flow of drive from flywheel
through clutch disc to transaxle input shaft.
