The telephone performs a test that the circuits in the telephone work. The telephone is
now ready for registration in the system, see 2.7 Logging On the Telephone on page
13 .
UPDATING TELEPHONE SOFTWARE
When the telephone is started and discovers that new software will be loaded, the
following menu is shown:

The x indicates a timer counting down seconds. If no key is pressed during this time,
Yes is selected automatically.
If No (F4) is pressed, the telephone will use the current version of the software.
Continue, see 2.6.2 Start the Telephone, Normal Case on page 9 .
If (Yes) (F3) is pressed, the telephone starts to update the software, which is shown
in the next menu:

The software is loaded from the software server. This will take about 1/2 minute.
