The following figure illustrates a condition with signal interlock:

The first input channel of the safety-related input is deactivated which starts the signal interlock
monitoring time of 200 ms. It is then activated again before the second input channel of the safety-
related input is deactivated. This immediately triggers a signal interlock alert even though the 200
ms have not yet elapsed.

The first input channel of the safety-related input is deactivated which starts the signal interlock
monitoring time of 200 ms. The second input channel of the safety-related remains activated longer
than 200 ms. This triggers a signal interlock alert 200 ms after interlock monitoring has started.
