Fault
Excessive heating of
the axle hub.

Possible cause
Incorrectly adjusted service or
parking brake.
Worn brake pads.
Incorrect hydraulic oil viscosity.
Insufficient tractor hydraulic
pump performance, tractor
hydraulic pump defective.
Damaged or dirty actuator.
Actuator load too high.
Damaged hydraulic lines.
Contaminated hydraulic oil.
Incorrect oil level.
Deregulated valves
or limit switches
Hydraulic system hoses not
connected or not connected
correctly.
Trailer control electrical system
not connected.
Solution
Adjust the expander arm positions
or parking brake cable tension.
Replace brake shoes.
Check oil quality,
make sure that the oils in both
machines
are of the same grade. If neces-
sary,
change the oil in the tractor
and / or trailer.
Check the hydraulic pump on the
tractor.
Check the cylinder piston rod
(bending, corrosion), check the
cylinder for leaks (piston rod seal),
repair or replace the cylinder if
necessary.
Check and reduce the cylinder
load if necessary.
Check and make sure that the hy-
draulic hoses are tight, not kinked
and properly tightened. Replace or
tighten as necessary.
Check oil cleanliness, replace fil-
ters, change oil. clean the tank.
Check oil level and make up for
leaks.
Adjust limit valves and
limit switches
Check the connection and connect
the cables in accordance with the
operating instructions.
