Problems While Configuring the CN3
Problem
You scan a configuration command,
such as Beeper Volume, and you hear
three low beeps.
You scan or enter an option for the
Scanner Model configuration
command and you hear three low
beeps.
You cannot type a character on the
keypad or you can only type
uppercase or lowercase letters.

To find your operating system version
1 Tap Start > Internet Explorer.
2 Tap the Intermec logo. The Intermec page appears and
displays the software build information.
If you send the CN3 in for service, it is your responsibility to save
the computer data and configuration. Intermec is responsible
only for ensuring that the hardware matches the original
configuration when repairing or replacing the computer.
Solution
If you are working in Intermec Settings, you cannot scan
configuration commands. Exit the application to scan
configuration commands.
You may have scanned or entered a Scanner Model
command that does not apply to the type of scanner that
you have installed. Try scanning or entering the Scanner
Model command again and select an option for the type
of device you are using.
You may have locked a modifier key on the keypad.Press
the necessary key sequence to unlock the key. For help,
see
"Using the Keypad" on page
