The beeper notifies the operator when an error has occurred and
acknowledges that a key has been pressed. The Intermec Finger-
print programming language allows the key acknowledge signal to
be turned off. The frequency and duration of the signal can be speci-
fied at will. Thus, it is possible create different signals for different
conditions or even to make the printer play simple melodies!
