Mobile Comms: For both Wi-Fi and 3G Comms two ports, primary and secondary (1 & 2)
as shown in Figure 11, are provided to allow the connection of external antennas to the
(optional) internal 3G/Wi-Fi modem.
With the antennas screwed into their respective connectors wireless communication with the
Hub may be optimised by varying the antennas angle of inclination and/or orientation. Dual
antennas provide a better signal. In the event of only a single antenna being used, the
antenna must be connected to the mobile comms Primary (1) port.
Wi-Fi: As above, if only one antenna is used, it must be connected to the Wi-Fi Primary (1)
port.
Power Inlet: This port connects to the 'Hub Power' port on the Power Supply using the
interconnecting power cables provided.
Auxiliary Ports: These ports are provided for future expansion.
A heat sink runs across the rear of both units. For correct operation the
enclosures MUST be mounted so that the heat sink fins are vertical. There must
be a minimum of 200mm clearance at the top and bottom of each unit.
