7.15.1.2 Installation

Checking suitability of the wheelchair configuration for a vehicle for transporting persons with reduced
mobility
Before installing the anchor point kit, check whether the product in the supplied configuration is suitable for use in
a vehicle for transporting persons with reduced mobility. This is indicated by the specific version of the side sup
ports. Since the required belt loops always have to be wrapped around the side support at the highest possible
position (opening), this opening must not be too narrow for the belt loops to pass through (see fig. 42, item 1).
Otherwise the product may not be used in vehicles for transporting persons with reduced mobility.
Installing the tension straps (front)
Attaching the tension straps is mandatory prior to use in a vehicle for transporting persons with reduced mobility:
1) Engage the hooks of the previously slackened and slightly loosened tension straps, with the buckle closed,
between the caster attachment device and drive wheel adapter and tighten them (see fig. 43, item 1).
2) By pushing the press button on the buckle (see fig. 43, item 2), the straps can be opened or loosened again for
removal after use.

The fixation points of the belt loops are marked with stickers (pattern). These stickers show where the user has to
pass the belt loops around the frame tube:
The stickers that label the front fixation points are found above the caster attachment device on each side: see
fig. 44, item 1.
The stickers that label the rear fixation points are found above the folding mechanism (Zenit) or above the rigid
axle (Zenit R) on each side: see fig. 45, item 1.
