6.18 Care

6.18.1 Cleaning

6.18.1.1 Cleaning by hand

1) Clean the padding and upholstery with warm water and a mild detergent.
2) Remove any spots with a sponge or a soft brush.
3) Rinse with clear water and let the components dry.
Important information on cleaning
Do not use any aggressive cleaners, solvents or hard brushes etc.
Clean plastic parts, frame parts and the chassis and wheels with a mild cleaner and a damp cloth. Dry thor­
oughly afterwards.

for use.

6.18.1.2 Cleaning in a washing chamber/wheelchair washing system

1) Remove the seat cushion and upholstery, and follow the washing instructions for each article.
2) Verify the firm fit of the caster head cover.
NOTICE! If the grease is washed out of the ball bearings or displaced by compressed air, damage can
be expected..
3) Wash the wheelchair at max. 60 °C (140 °F) for max. 10 minutes.
4) If necessary: Remove all components where water has accumulated.
5) Allow the wheelchair to dry on all 4 wheels. Tilt the wheelchair slightly forward during this time so that water
can drain from the frame.
INFORMATION: We recommend drying with compressed air.
6) If necessary: Reinstall all components that were removed.
7) Before storing or using the wheelchair again, verify that it is dry. Wipe wet components with a cloth as needed.
8) Ensure that all labels (nameplate and warnings) are still legible. Otherwise replace these labels.
Important information on cleaning
Do not use any aggressive cleaners, solvents or hard brushes etc.
The seat and back upholstery is machine washable at max. 60 °C (140 °F).

6.18.2 Disinfection

1) Thoroughly clean the pads and handles before disinfecting.
2) Wipe all parts of the wheelchair with a disinfectant.
Important information about disinfecting
If the product is used by more than one person, using a conventional disinfectant is required.
Only use colourless water-based disinfectants. Observe the instructions for use provided by the manufacturer.

7 Maintenance

The function of the product should be checked before each use.
