3.1
Instrument Set-up
The system consists of instrument, power supply and software for data transfer and analysis.
1. Connect power supply to instrument.
2. Connect foot switch to instrument (option).
3. Connect instrument with PC via USB cable.
4. Download and install smart-chart software.
Instrument automatically turns on when the power supply is connected.

Software Installation
The software smart-chart is a modern and intuitive program to document, analyze and optimize
color, gloss and fluorescence data. It is available in two different packages: smart-lab Color and
smart-process Color.
Perform following steps:
1. Download the ZIP file from:
2. Save it on your hard drive into a new folder.
3. Extract the complete archive.
4. In the extracted folder, right mouse click on the file "install.exe".
5. Select Run as administrator.
6. Follow the setup instructions on the screen.
