To install a new host adapter after Windows 2000 is already
installed:
1 Make sure your system is shut down and the power is off.
2 Install the new host adapter.
3 Start Windows 2000. When the hardware wizard detects the
card, click Yes to continue the installation.
4 Select the Have Disk button. When prompted, insert the
Ultra320 FMS driver floppy disk for Windows 2000 into the
floppy disk drive, enter the following path, then click OK.
a:\win2000
5 The driver is now installed.

Removing a Host Adapter

Removing a host adapter can be as simple as physically removing
it from the slot when your computer is shut down. See the
documentation for your host adapter for more information.
Windows 2000 starts and functions properly in this configuration.
Note: Windows 2000 Setup does not delete the device driver
from your system disk; it only updates Windows 2000
software configuration information so that the device driver
is no longer loaded during system startup.
