Direct playback

Still image/movie files in the specified folders of the SD card can be played back by pressing the number (<1> -
<6>) buttons on the remote control. This operation is referred to as direct playback.
Also, when operating by a browser remote control of Wireless Manager ME6.3, files can be played back directly
by pressing the number (<0> - <9>) buttons.
Saving files for direct playback
To perform direct playback, still image/movie files must be saved in the specified folders in advance. Saving
destinations of files are the folders in the root directory (top-most directory) of the SD card. Name the folders (4
characters in single byte) corresponding to the number (<1> - <6>) buttons on the remote control or the number
(<0> - <9>) buttons on the browser remote control, as indicated in the following table. If the folder name is
different, direct playback cannot be performed.

Insert the SD card into the SD card slot.
f Refer to "Using SD cards" (x page 53) for handling of SD cards.

Set the [SETUP] menu → [DIRECT PLAY SETTING] (x page 74) to [MEMORY VIEWER].

Press the <MEMORY VIEWER> button.
f The Memory Viewer screen (thumbnail or list view) is displayed.
4)
Press the number (<1> - <6>) buttons on the remote control.
f Still image/movie files in the folder corresponding to the number (<1> - <6>) buttons on the remote control
or the number (<0> - <9>) buttons on the browser remote control are played back in the full-screen display.
Note
f When the selected input is not [MEMORY VIEWER], direct play of the Memory Viewer function will not be started.
f If the [MEMORY VIEWER] menu → [AUTOPLAY] (x page 68) is set to [ON], still image/movie files in the folder corresponding to the
number button are played back in the order set in [MEMORY VIEWER] → [SORT] (x page 68).
f If the [MEMORY VIEWER] menu → [AUTOPLAY] (x page 68) is set to [OFF], among still image/movie files in the folder corresponding to
the number button, the first file in the order set in [MEMORY VIEWER] → [SORT] (x page 68) is played back.
f If the number (<1> - <6>) buttons on the remote control are pressed during playback in the full-screen display, current playback stops and
the still image/movie files in the folder corresponding to the newly pressed number button are played back.
f Even while the Memory Viewer screen (thumbnail or list view) is displayed or the file is played back in full-screen view, direct playback
cannot be performed if the on-screen menu (menu screen) is displayed.
f Even when the number (<1> - <6>) buttons on the remote control are pressed, the operation is disabled if the folder corresponding to the
pressed number button does not exist or if the files that can be played back with the Memory Viewer are not saved.
f For the operations during playback, refer to "Playing back still images" (x page 103) and "Playing back movies" (x page 104).
f For details about the use of the browser remote control, refer to "Operating Instructions - Wireless Manager ME6.3".
