Using a USB Adapter
You can use a USB adapter to customize the connectors of a USB cable to
the requirements of the instrument.
For example, you can use a Type-A / Micro-A adapter to customize a stan-
dard USB cable with type A and type Micro-B connectors for the connection
of an R&S SGS (acting as a host) to an R&S SGU (acting as a USB
device).
In some cases, you can also use a Type-A / Micro-B adapter to establish a
connection to the instrument. To check, whether the adapter you have is
suitable or not you can connect a USB stick with an LED through the
adapter to the instrument. If the LED of the USB stick lights up after a con-
nection to the instrument then you can use this adapter for further applica-
tions with the instrument.
