General Assembly; Chain Guards; Tires - Schulte FX-315 Operator's Manual

GENERAL ASSEMBLY

Check oil level in all gearboxes before operation. Refer to the 'Lubrication' section of this
manual for recommended oil type and viscosity.
Lubricate all grease fittings. Refer to the grease schedule in this manual. Check that all nuts and bolts are in
place and properly tightened. Refer to the 'Maintenance' section of this manual for required bolt grades and
torques.
Check that all tires are inflated to proper specifications. Refer to the 'Maintenance' section of this manual for
required tire pressures.

Chain Guards

The FX-315 comes with either single or double chain guards. Use the Parts Manual for chain guard locations
on the rotary cutter.
Insert the middle link of a13 link chain into the first slot of the chain rail and slide the1/4" galvanized rod into the
link. Continue along the length of the chainrail until all links are inserted.
Bend the end 2" of the galvanized rod back to keep the chains from falling loose.

Tires

To reduce the possibility of the laminations separating, laminated tires should be installed with the laminations
orientated as shown.
