    Be sure to keep feet and hands clear of the mower blades. If you raise the mower or mower wing to access the blockage, engage the wing lock up latch and securely block up the mower before placing any parts of the body beneath the mower. Your Rotary Cutter has been carefully designed with care and built with quality materials by skilled workers to give maximum service with minimum down time. This manual is provided to give you the necessary operating and maintenance instructions for keeping your rotary cutter in top operating condition.
  • Page 41: Equipment Specifications

    Your FX-530 rotary cutter is primarily designed for crop shredding, grass, weeds and brush up to 2” in diameter. The FX-530 is a premium built 30 foot (9.14 m) Rotary Cutter. It features a five rotor design and incorporates a 10 gauge (3.4mm) Domed Deck to eliminate corrosion due to the moisture and to make it very easy to clean.

    ALWAYS OPERATE WITH THE WING HYDRAULIC CYLINDER CONTROL VALVES IN A FLOAT POSITION. • For maximum performance and service life, Always use Genuine Schulte replacement parts. Operating Noise Level/Sound Pressure The sound levels at the operator's ear from the attached machine (rotary cutter) are at least 10 dB(A) below the levels from typical Agricultural tractors used to power and transport this machine.

    Asm-0001 OPERATING POSITION When you receive your FX-530, it will be shipped with the small outer wings flipped over as shown below (Figure AsmP-R-0501). A.If you have not purchased the hydraulic fold option for the outside wings: -Simply put the main wings down and then flip the outer wing over using an approved lifting device.

    Reassemble the bolts and nuts onto the chain guards that have been disassembled when removing pieces A and B. Take the Tractor Drive Shaft and assemble it onto the Splitter Gearbox (Figure Asm-R-0579) with the bolt provided on the shear yoke end of shaft.     Test the circuit. The lights should operate in unison with your tractor lights. If the turning lamps are opposite to the tractor, reverse the output to extension harness connections.     ASSEMBLY Row Crop Wheel Standard Spacing FX-530 has adjustable wheel standards so it can be used in Row Crop. Adjust the wheel standards to the following dimensions according to your row width from 12” to 38” (305mm to 0.96 m). All dimension are from the end of beam to the center of the wheel standard as shown. Wheels may not be centered in row but are placed to allow for level machine operation.

  • Page 62 SCHULTE FX-530 ROTARY CUTTER OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS Schulte FX-530 rotary cutters are manufactured with quality material by skilled workers. These cutters are designed to cut grass, weeds, crop stalks, brush and other vegetation up to 2” (51 mm) diameter. The cutter is equipped with protective deflectors and/or chain guards to prevent objects being thrown from the cutter by the blades, however, no shielding is 100% effective.

    When not in use, store the safety chain to protect it from mud or standing water by wrapping the chain around the tongue.     Replace bent or broken blades with new blades. NEVER ATTEMPT TO STRAIGHTEN, WELD, OR WELD HARDFACING ON BLADES SINCE THIS WILL LIKELY CRACK OR OTHERWISE DAMAGE THE BLADE WITH SUBSEQUENT FAILURE AND POSSIBLY CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY FROM THROWN BLADES.
