9. Now, tighten the cable by winding the winch.
Continuing to tighten the winch will cause the
wing to lift. Ensure no person is standing under
the wing or within 20 feet of the wing as you
raise it with the winch. See Figure Ops-1553.
Never work under the Implement, the framework, or any lifted
component unless the Implement is securely supported or blocked up
to prevent sudden or inadvertent falling which could cause serious
injury or even death.
10. Once you have the wing raised, insert the
safety lock up bar. You should never use the
winch as a locking device, always insert the
lock up bar. The two bars are bolted onto the
rear of the winch stand.
