3. Ensure that the heads of the carriage bolts are
assembled so they are on the inside of the
winch so that the cable does not interfere with
the bolts. (Figure Ops-1544)
4. Now, have someone hold the end of the cable
taught while another person winds the winch.
This will ensure that the cable is wound snugly
onto the winch. When the cable is getting close
to being completely wound onto the winch,
place the eye of the cable over the storage
location and then finish tightening the cable.
(Figure Ops-1545).
5. If you want to use the winch to lift the wing first, loosen the cable on the winch and remove the cable from
its storage location.
