● Operating uncertainty
O perating uncertainty (B) is an error obtained under the nominal operating
conditions and calculated with the intrinsic error (A), which is an error of
the instrument used, and the error (En) due to variations. According to the
standard, IEC 61557, the maximum operating error should be within ±30
%. Intrinsic error (A) is uncertainty of the performance characteristics of
the instrument in the reference condition.

* T he measuring range to keep the max. operating uncertainty is the same as
the 1st effective measuring range.
2. Operating uncertainty of low-resistance measurement (IEC61557-4)
