Stereo Output Delay

The left and right channels of the stereo output can be delayed individually by up to
300 milliseconds. This can be used to compensate for delays in multi-speaker sound
reinforcement systems.
1. Use the [ /DELAY] button to locate DELAY page 4, as shown below.
2. Use the cursor buttons to select the delay parameters and the [ENTER]
button, PARAMETER wheel, or [–1/DEC] and [+1/INC] buttons to set
them.

Stereo Output Delay

Description
These switches are used to turn on and off the delays.
Delay can be specified in milliseconds, meters, or samples
("Setting 01V Preferences" on page 203). The maximum
delay in samples is fixed at 13229. The maximum delay in
milliseconds and meters depends on the sampling rate. At
44.1 kHz, for example, it is 300 milliseconds and 102.2
meters, respectively.

To record using the Yamaha 01V digital mixer, follow these steps:

1. A/D Conversion: Audio signals are converted to digital using the 01V’s 20-bit 128-times oversampling A/D converters.
2. Digital Signal Processing: The mixer processes audio digitally using Yamaha DSPs, ensuring minimal noise, distortion, and crosstalk.
3. Digital Connectivity: To maintain signal quality, use an Option I/O interface card to connect the 01V directly to a modular digital multitrack recorder.
4. Recording to Computer: If using a computer, install an ADAT interface card (such as the Yamaha MY8AT) to enable an ADAT lightpipe connection for transferring up to 8 channels.
5. Final Mix Output: The final stereo mix can be sent to a two-track digital recorder using the 01V’s Coaxial STEREO OUT.
6. Avoid Multiple Conversions: Keep audio in the digital domain to prevent signal degradation from multiple AD/DA conversions.

For better quality and higher sample rates, consider using a dedicated audio interface instead of the 01V.
