Adjusting of the track width
Caution - risk of tipping!
When carrying out excavating work using the narrow track width, the excavator will be more unstable.
STOP
The narrow track width should be used only for passing through narrow areas.
- As a general rule, perform any excavator work using the standard track width (A).
- The excavator may not be operated with the narrow track width (B).
Set the desired track width before starting to drive.
The track widths are:
– Standard track width (A):
– Narrow track width (B):
To adjust the respective track width, both track width
cylinders must be either completely extended (stand-

ard track width, A) or retracted (narrow track width, B).
Push the dozer/extendable track width selector lever (1) all the
way up (B).
Set the desired track width with the dozer control lever.
Pull back on the dozer control lever (1).
The track width is reduced from standard track width (A) to narrow
track width (B).
Push the dozer control lever (1) forward.
The track width is increased from narrow track width (B) to standard
track width (A).
When driving with narrow track width, the dozer en-
largement must be folded in (page 72).
