Crawler tension - adjust
Tightening the crawlers
Position the grease gun on the grease nipple (1).
Pump the grease gun until the specified crawler tension is ob-
tained.
Loosening the crawlers
Loosen the pressure valve (2) carefully.
Do not unscrew the pressure valve too quickly or com-
pletely. Otherwise grease can squirt out at high pres-
STOP
sure from the opening of the clamping cylinder.
If the grease is emitted from the pressure valve in a controlled way, start the engine and rotate the lifted crawl-
er briefly.
Screw in the pressure valve and torque to 98-108 Nm.
Check and adjust the crawler tension, if necessary.
Water separator - clean
Water and impurities in the fuel settle in the water sep-
arator. A red plastic ring (2) in the water separator
floats on the water. If such substances have been de-
posited or the plastic ring has reached the mark (5),
the water separator must be cleaned.
Place a cleaning cloth under the water separator to
prevent fuel from running onto the ground.
Open the engine compartment cover (page 114).
Turn the shutoff-valve (4) to the "CLOSED" position (B).
Unscrew retainer (1) while holding on to the cup (3).
Remove the cup.
