9.5.2.3
Trigger sources
The possible trigger conditions and the execution of a trigger depend on the selected
trigger mode and trigger source.
If the signal power exceeds or falls below a reference level set by the trigger level, the
measurement is started after the defined delay time. Waiting for a trigger event can be
skipped.
Trigger source
Description
"Hold"
Triggered by the remote command.
"Immediate"
Measures immediately, does not wait for trigger
condition.
"Internal"
Uses the input signal as trigger signal.
"External 1"
Uses the digital input signal supplied using a dif-
ferential pair in the 8-pin sensor cable.
"External 2"
Uses the digital input signal supplied at the SMB
connector.
"Bus"
Triggered by the remote command.

Dropout time
The dropout time is useful when dealing with signals with several active slots, for
example GSM signals, see

INITiate[:IMMediate]
The number of measurement cycles is restricted.
If
1 is set, the command starts a single measurement cycle that
TRIGger:COUNt
renders one result. Every time you send this command, a new measurement cycle
is started.
Otherwise, as many measurement cycles are performed as determined by the trig-
ger count.
