Operation

The camera works together with CAN devices (e.g. RFID reader), GPIO equipment (e.g. flowmeter) and the
farm infrastructure via Ethernet.
The camera's power can be supplied by an auxiliary +24V source or via Power-over-Ethernet. The two
power sources are mutually exclusive, with the auxiliary +24V supply having the higher priority. The 24V
adapter and the PoE supply are plugged into the Phoenix connectors on the camera. The CAN-device and
the GPIO-devices are plugged into the Phoenix connectors (see figure 2 on page 5-2).
Refer to section 6.2.1 for the pinout of the connectors. When all the external devices are functional, the
RED LED will blink in a 1Hz sequence (heartbeat). The dual colour LED reports an error-code if one of the
peripherals is faulty.
