6.2. Precautions in Installation

6.2.1. Machine Software Installation with a Removable Media

The machine software installation in Step (4) (Section 6.1.2.4) is available with a
removable media (mainly a USB memory stick).
The procedure, etc., is the same as in Step (4), the installation procedure from CD-ROM.
The installation data save location in the removable media should be the same as in the
"Machine Software Installation CD-ROM". Copy each data in XM folder from the CD-
ROM to the removable media.
(Example: In the case that the removable media uses Drive E, [E: \ XM Folder].)
*This method is used as the first aid when there is no CD-ROM media. Normally, the
installation from the CD-ROM is performed.

6.2.2. Automatic Setting in Re-Recovery Operation

The following data items are automatically set in the re-recovery operation.
 Network Connection "Local Area Connection" IP Address, Subnet Mask
 Network Connection "Local Area Connection2" IP Address, Subnet Mask
 Host Name
 Machine Software Time Zone
 Machine Software Language (In the casa that the Drive D is not to be formatted in the
Initial Setting Application execution)

6.2.3. Setting when ACV Barcode Scanner is used

When the ACV barcode scanner is attached to Sigma G5S, perform the COM port setting
referring to the following material.
