CONNECTING THE HD9010TM TO A COMPUTER

2.7.1. Physical Connections

A 9 pin sub-miniature 'D' connector (COM 1) is provided for connection to a computer. This serial port
provides a bi-directional RS-232-C data link for upgrading firmware. It also provides a serial data stream
containing the time and user bit data. In order to connect your HD9010TM to your computer use standard
9 pin 'straight through' cable. See section 4.2 for a complete description of how to upgrade the firmware.
Contact the factory for further information about the serial data output. The baud rate of this port is set
using the COM 1 BAUD RATE menu item.
A second 9 pin sub-miniature 'D' connector (AUX COM) is provided for future use. In order to connect
your HD9010TM to your computer use standard 9 pin 'straight through' cable. The baud rate of this port
is set using the AUXCOM BAUD RATE menu item.
