Performing authentication before
using this machine
"Authentication" refers to identifying this machine's
users using the PIN code assigned to each user. Iden-
tifying users enhances the management capability
and security level for each user.

Performing authentication operation

If the following authentication screen is displayed, it
indicates that [User Management]
set.
In this case, you will need to perform the authentica-
tion operation in order to use this machine. The follow-
ing three methods are available to perform the
authentication operation.
The method to use is specified in [Recognized by]
(A 150) of [Admin.].
■ Entering the PIN code

Enter the PIN code using the
numeric keys.
The entered code digits are displayed as "j".
BYou can select [Admin.] - [Create
User] to confirm or change the PIN
code.

Touch [OK].
When the authentication screen disappears,
this machine can be used.

Insert the registered USB flash
drive into the USB slot.
When the authentication screen disappears,
this machine can be used.
Remove the USB flash drive from the USB slot.
The authentication status remains even after
the USB flash drive has been removed.

flash drive for authentication pur-
poses on this machine in advance.

registered IC card.
When the authentication screen disappears,
this machine can be used.
Remove the IC card from the IC card reader.
The authentication status remains even after
