4.3 Visual Alarm

When an alarm is active, the following 3 visuals occur:
 Alarm indicator: the alarm indicator lights up.
Alarm Category
Medium level alarm
Low level alarm
 Alarm message: the alarm message appears in the alarm message area of the main interface
in yellow.
 Flashing numeric: the numerical value of the measurement flashes in grey with a frequency
of 2Hz.
When more than one alarm is active, the alarm messages appear in the same area in succession.
The patient alarm messages are displayed either:
- in text form, for example "** FHR2 LOW"; or
- in numeric form, for example "** FHR2 115 < 120"; ** indicates this is a medium level
alarm event; the first number is the current measurement result; the second number is the
preset alarm limit.
The technical alarm messages are displayed in text form, for example "Fetus EQUIP MALF".

4.4 Choosing Alarm Silence Duration

To choose the alarm silence duration:
1 Select the setup key
2 Select Alarm > Silence Duration.
3 Select Infinite (default), 1 min, 2 min or 3 min.
4 Select OK.

4.5 Choosing Alarm Display Form

To change the patient alarm display form:
1 Select the setup key
2 Select Alarm > Message Form.
3 Select Text (default) or Numeric.
4 Select OK.
