Defining the e8350 Satellite Router Rear Panel

should have louvered sides and top with fans to provide cooling air. Before using a particular
rack, check for obstructions, such as a power strip, that could impair rack-mount installation.
To mount your e8350 Satellite Router in a 19-inch rack:
1. Using a Number 2 Phillips head screwdriver, attach the mounting ears on the right and left
sides of the e8350 Satellite Router. Make sure that the notches on the mounting ears point
downward.
2. Mount the e8350 Satellite Router into the 19" rack.
3. Connect the AC power cord.

To prevent bodily injury when mounting or servicing the e8350 Satellite
Router in a rack, you must take special precautions to ensure that the
rack remains mechanically stable. iDirect recommends that the
equipment rack be firmly secured to the foundation/floor and secured to
the adjacent rack.
Install the e8350 Satellite Router in the rack where access to the
connectors is unobstructed. Do not block the vents.
