The 4022-40 Wire Calendar Scanner comes standard with a 19mm (¾")
head gap between the upper and lower heads.
The 4022-40 Wire Calender Scanner includes a special standardization
shelf and sample paddles for use in sensor calibration and
standardization. Refer to the Installation drawings for further details.
The 4022-40 Wire Calender Scanner includes nuclear sensors and X-ray
sensors that take measurements by directing beta particles and X-rays at
and through the sheet. The scanner design includes rigorous safety
features to detect and prevent unsafe conditions. Shutter status lights that
continuously indicate the shutter status of nuclear and/or X-ray sensors
are part of the radiation safety features incorporated into the system.
Shutter status satellite boxes are located on the distant end and on the
cable end mounted on top of the end supports. These boxes continuously
indicate whether the shutters for radioactive and X-ray sources are open
or closed.
Radiation safety circuits work in conjunction with the radiation light
satellite boxes to ensure the correct indication of the state of the nuclear
and X-ray shutters and the X-ray upper and lower power ON status.
