8. Before running the Automatic Motor Adaptation (AMA) function, record the values listed
for the parameters in the following chart in the Values Prior to AMA column.

9. The last step in the Q2 Quick Setup is to run the Automatic Motor Adaptation (AMA)
function. Set P 1‐29 to the value [1] Enable Complete AMA. The AMA is a special software
function that will perform a dynamic test and will fine tune the drive to match the
connected motor and cabling. The AMA sequence provides the drive with a more accurate
motor model than simply entering the basic data in parameter group P 1‐2*.
10. Press the Hand On button to start the AMA function, and wait until the process has
finished.
11. After the AMA is complete, press the OK key. Record the values listed for the parameters
in the chart from step # 8 in the Values After AMA column.
