What is the "Digital8
This video system has been developed to enable
digital recording to Hi8
cassette.
Usable cassette tapes
We recommend using Hi8
cassette. *
The recording time when you use your Digital8
system camcorder on Hi8
tape is 2/3 the recording time when using the
conventional Hi8
camcorder. (90 minutes of recording time
becomes 60 minutes in the SP mode.)
* If you use standard 8
back the tape on this camcorder. Mosaic pattern
noise may appear when you play back standard
8 tape on other VCRs (including other DCR-
TRV230E/TRV235E/TRV325E/TRV330E/
TRV430E/TRV530E).

Playback system
The Digital8 system or Hi8
system is automatically detected before the tape
is played back.
During playback of tapes recorded in the Hi8
/standard 8 system, digital signals are
output as the image signals from the DV OUT or
DV IN/OUT jack.
Display during automatic detection of system
The Digital8 system or Hi8
system is automatically detected, and the
playback system is automatically switched to.
During switching of systems, the screen turns
blue, and the following displays appear on the
screen. A hissing noise also sometimes can be
heard.

Dit videosysteem is ontwikkeld voor het digitaal
opnemen op Hi8
Keuze van bandsoort en type cassette
Het is aanbevolen in deze camcorder Hi8
Digital8 videocassettes te gebruiken.*
De opnameduur van deze Digital8
met Hi8 /standaard 8-mm
is 2/3 van die met een conventionele analoge Hi8
/standaard 8-mm
van 90 minuten zult u slechts 60 minuten lang
kunnen opnemen, met de SP snelheid.)

Weergavesysteem
Voor het afspelen van een videocassette zal de
camcorder automatisch waarnemen of de
opnamen gemaakt zijn met het Digital8
systeem of het Hi8
systeem.
Bij het afspelen van videocassettes die zijn
opgenomen met het Hi8
systeem worden er wel digitale beeldsignalen
uitgestuurd via de DV OUT of DV IN/OUT
aansluiting van dit apparaat.
Aanduidingen tijdens de automatische
detectie van het opnamesysteem
Er wordt automatisch waargenomen of het
Digital8 systeem dan wel het Hi8
standaard 8-mm
wordt hier voor weergave automatisch op
ingesteld. Tijdens het omschakelen van het
systeem wordt het scherm blauw en zullen de
volgende aanduidingen verschijnen. Bovendien
is er soms een ruisend geluid te horen.
