Does not pick-up down crop.
Heads shattering or
breaking off.
Cut grain falling ahead of
cutterbar.

TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM
Cutterbar too high.
Header angle too flat.
Reel too high.
Reel too far back.
Ground speed too fast
for reel speed.
Reel fingers not lifting
crop sufficiently.
Reel speed too fast.
Reel too low.
Ground speed too fast.
Crop too ripe.
Ground speed too slow.
Reel speed too slow
Reel too high.
Cutterbar too high.
Reel too far forward.
Worn or broken sickle
components.
Crowding uncut crop.
Broken sickle sections.

SOLUTION
Lower cutterbar.
Steepen header angle.
Lower reel.
Move reel forward.
Reduce ground speed or
increase reel speed.
Move cam arms to pos'n. Y
to increase finger pitch
aggressiveness.
Install lifter guards.
Reduce reel speed.
Raise reel.
Reduce ground speed.
Operate at night when
humidity is higher.
Increase ground speed.
Increase reel speed.
Lower reel.
Lower cutterbar.
Move reel back on support
arms.
Replace.
Allow enough room for crop
to be fed to cutterbar.
Replace.
