PROBLEM
In heavy crop, fingers
starting to flip over before
releasing crop.
In light crop, cam arms in
position Y.
Reel speed too fast.
Reel too low.
Reel too far back.
Finger pitch too
aggressive.
Reel too low.
Reel speed too fast.
Reel not centered in
header.
Finger pitch not
aggressive enough.
Reel too far forward.
Reel speed too fast.
Reel taking too much
"bite" at crop entry.
Reel fingers not
aggressive enough.
Reel too low.
Relief pressure too low.
Relief valve malfunction.

SOLUTION
Move to a more aggressive
finger pitch notch.
Move cam arms to position
X.
Reduce speed of reel to
allow crop to fall onto
augers properly. Reel speed
should be slightly faster than
ground speed.
Raise reel.
Move reel forward.
Decrease finger pitch
aggressiveness.
Raise reel.
Reduce reel speed.
Center reel in header.
Increase finger pitch
aggressiveness.
Move reel back.
Reduce reel speed.
Move cam arms to position
Y.
Move to a more aggressive
finger pitch notch.
Raise reel.
Increase relief pressure.
Replace relief valve.
