Connecting interface cables

Connect cables to the interfaces on the device before powering on the device.

Connecting an Ethernet copper port

Connect one end of the cable to the Ethernet port on the device. Connect the other end of the
cable to the Ethernet port on the peer device.
The fixed ports on the device are MDI/MDIX autosensing. You can use straight-through or
crossover network cables to connect the ports.

Examine the port LED on the device. For more information about the LEDs, see H3C
MSR3610-I ICT Converged Gateway Series Hardware Information and Specifications.
