CLEANING AND INSPECTION
BEFORE SPLICE
V-Groove Cleaning
When the inside of V-Groove is contaminated, splice quality
may deteriorate. Thus, it is important to regularly inspect
and frequently clean the V-Groove as follows.
� Open the windsield cover.
� Clean the V-Groove using cotton swab moistened with
alcohol. Remove the alcohol remaining on V-Groove
using a clean and dry cotton swab.
� When a foreign substance is not removed with cotton
swab, clean it with the tip of cut optical fiber and then
repeat the step above.
