Press START.
The machine will start to send the document. On completion of
the transmission the display will show "TX COMPLETED" for a
few seconds before returning to the initial operating mode
display.
IF...
•
the destination number was dialled from a telephone, on
completion of transmission, the fax machine emits a
continuous acoustic signal. To stop the acoustic signal,
replace the handset or press STOP. In the first case, the
connection is terminated and the fax machine returns to the
initial operating mode; in the second case, the fax machine
remains connected so that the user can talk to the person
called, or transmit another document, if he so desires.
•
the transmission report function is selected (see section:
REPORTS), the machine will print out a report advising you of
the status of the transmission.
•
you want to interrupt transmission at any point:
1) Press STOP. The display alternately indicates the machine
operation mode message and a message prompting you to
STOP
press
DOCUMENT, PRESS STOP).
2) Press STOP again. The document will be ejected and the
display will alternate between the machine operation mode
message and a message indicating that the transmission
has been interrupted. If the document to be removed
comprises more than one sheet, manually remove all the
sheets above the one in the ADF and then press STOP to
also eject the first sheet.
3) Press STOP again to return to the original operation mode.
TRANSMISSION USING THE ONE TOUCH KEYS
You can also use the one touch keys to send a fax. When you insert the document in the automatic
document feeder, the fax machine waits for you to dial the destination fax number.
At this point all you have to do to start transmission is:

Press the programmed one touch key.

The display shows the initial operating mode.

Insert the document face down in the document feeder slot.
Adjust the guides to the width of the paper.
The arrow on the display points to STD to indicate that standard
resolution is selected.
