When to Use
To detect and disable network loops, and to provide backup links between switches, bridges or
routers. This allows the switch to interact with other bridging devices (that is, an STA-compliant
switch, bridge or router) in your network to ensure that only one route exists between any two
stations on the network. The Spanning Tree Configuration Menu screen
menu selections to gain access to the STA Bridge Configuration and STA Port Configuration
screens to configure the STA functions.

Use the arrow keys to highlight the Spanning Tree Configuration Menu item on the Device

Show the flow control type in use. Flow control can
eliminate frame loss by "blocking" traffic from end stations
connected directly to the switch. Back pressure is used for
half duplex and IEEE 802.3x for full duplex. Note that flow
control should not be used if a port is connected to a hub.
