5.4 Cleaning and disinfection

Clean and disinfect immediately after use. Ideally, a mechan­
ical procedure (instrument dishwasher) is to be used.
NOTICE
When selecting the cleaning agent and/or disinfectant, ensure
that it is compatible with the materials used, otherwise dam­
age to the product components cannot be ruled out.
Information when using masks with rubber bands:
The rubber band can only be disinfected chemically, not
thermally as it might be damaged by the high temperat­
ures used.
Mechanical cleaning with disinfection
EQUIPMENT
– Cleaning and disinfection device in conformance with
DIN EN ISO 15883
– Cleaning agent
PROCEDURE
• Arrange the components so that they can be cleaned and
disinfected most effectively.
• Select a suitable cleaning programme and agent.
