7.1.8 Setting electronic gear

1)Electronic gear
At the position control mode, input position command (command unit) is used to set load
displacement, motor position command (Encoder unit) is used to set motor displacement.
Electronic gear ratio is used to set proportional relation between motor position command and
input position command.
2)Procedure for setting the electronic gear ratio
Step
Operation
1
Check machine specifications.
Check the number of encoder
2
pulses.
Determine the command unit
3
used.
Calculate the travel distance
4
per load shaft rotation.
Calculate the electronic gear
5
ratio.
6
Set parameters.
Setting parameters procedure is as below:
Electric gear
Electric gear
When 2003h-05h and 6091h-01h are not 0, electronic gear ratio equals to 2003h-05h/2003h-06h
(or 6091h-01h/6091h-02h). If 2003h-05h or (6091h-01h) =0, pulse numbers of motor rotating a
rotation is controlled by 2003h-06h or(6091h-02h).
Description
Check the deceleration ratio, ball screw pitch, and
pulley diameter.
Check the number of encoder pulses for the servo
motor used.
Determine the command unit from the command
controller
Calculate the number of command units necessary
to turn the load shaft one rotation based on the
previously determined command units.
Use the electronic gear ratio equation to calculate
the ratio
Set parameters using the calculated values.
Electric gear ratio
selection
1. Electric gear ratio 1
2. Electric ger ratio 2
3. Terminal selection
ratio 1
ratio 2
