Series 90 Setup Manual

Low-voltage Test Procedure

The following steps are performed while running the diagnostic tests. The check box for each of
the low-voltage tests below is assumed checked.
1. Remove all interface cables from scanner board connectors.
2. From the Calibration Group in the Home
Tab, click Capacitance Offset (1) button.
The Capacitance Offset dialog box, shown to
the right, will open
3. From the bottom of the Capacitance Offset
dialog box, click Calculate Offset button.
4. After capacitance offset is complete and
measurements are displayed, click Close
button.
5. From the Self Diagnostic Group in the Home
Tab, click the Diagnose System button.
6. A message box opens prompting to remove
shorting bars and resistor banks. Remove all connections to the scanner boards.
7. Warning: Keep hands clear while this test is being run and click OK.
8. TestDiag performs several tests on various circuit components. Verify Passed is
displayed after each of the following tests:
 System Status Test
 Shorts Test
 Sense Line Test
 Raw FET On Test
 Raw FET Off Test
 Capacitance Test
9. TestDiag pauses and displays a message box
prompting to install resistor bank
on first scanner board connector
(J1). Install Calibration board
using connectors opposite of side
marked "Shorting Bar."
10. Click OK, and verify Resistor
Bank test passes.
11. Verify Self-Test passed. If all
tests pass, Test Results window
will display as shown.
